Hertfordshire 4x4 Response Group

Hertfordshire 4x4 Response exists to provide support to Local Authorities and Emergency Services at times when a 4x4 is the only way to get around. We are a group of experienced volunteer 4x4 owners that can provide the following services in Hertfordshire.

§Provide transport at times of §severe weather such as snow, gales or heavy rain.

Carry personnel or loads to remote locations.

We can keep moving in times of flooding.§ §Provide access to locations “off the beaten track” at all times.We can help during §other emergencies where access becomes difficult.Provide a service when a well organised fleet of vehicles with passenger and/or load carrying capabilities are required at any time.

The group was in 2007 and continues to grow quickly. It is one of several such groups around the country. Formed from dedicated volunteer 4x4 owners who wish to put something back into the community and show the responsible side of 4x4 ownership. These groups work in support of each other, sharing standards and information through 4x4 Response, the National Network for response groups. Hertfordshire 4x4 Response Group is a member of the Network: http://www.4x4response.info
